For ten years, STRONGROOM has brought extraordinary contemporary art into unexpected spaces throughout Newburgh, New York, transforming overlooked places into opportunities for discovery, imagination, and connection.

As we celebrate our tenth anniversary and the honor of being recognized by the Orange County Arts Council, we are looking ahead to what comes next.

We invite you to help STRONGROOM raise $15,000 to support the next chapter: creating new opportunities for artists, deepening connections with our community, and building the foundation for a sustainable future.

STRONGROOM

Our First Ten Years

From vacant lots and building ruins, to landmark architecture and the Hudson River waterfront, Strongroom has invited artists to engage with Newburgh’s architecture, history, landscape and community to create moments of discovery, conversation and connection.

Ten years later, our mission remains the same: art can change how we perceive a place.

In 2016, Strongroom began with a simple but powerful idea: that contemporary art could transform the way we experience the underutilized places around us.

Founded in Newburgh, New York, Strongroom has spent a decade collaborating with artists to create ambitious, site-specific installations and public programs in unexpected spaces throughout the city.

A DECADE OF PROJECTS

A Decade of Art. A Moment to

Celebrate.

We're exploring a special retrospective celebrating ten years of Strongroom: the artists, projects, places, and people who have shaped our story.

Envisioned for June 2027, this gathering would offer an opportunity to reflect on where we've been, celebrate the creative community we've built, and imagine what comes next.
